We are open with a "new normal"

Hello Parents,

I am writing to give you an update on the Coronavirus restrictions, our Track Out Program, and our evening Drama Classes.  WE ARE OPEN and ACCEPTING REGISTRATIONS  with a “New Normal.”

I have kept the center open to care for 7 children of parents that must be at work. I have been the only staff member in contact with the children. Everyone has remained healthy.

As we move forward and restrictions loosen, I want you all to understand my plan for adapting camp procedures to keep the children safe.

Plan for Adapting and Moving Forward

  • I am now renting 3 suites instead of 2. The third is located between The Art of STEM and the Drama Kids suite.  It is the perfect size for a computer/robotics lab. (It is currently being used as an online classroom until school is finished.)

  • Class size will continue at the 10 children limit.  As my staff returns to work and enrollment picks up again, we will increase the number of children attending camp.

  • Children will continue to stay in groups no larger than 10. Groups of 10a Kids room. This way children remain with the same group of children throughout the day and week.

  • The Computer/Robotics Lab will continue as an “Online Classroom” so that children can do school work during the day until mid June. I have ipads for 10 children that they may use. If parents prefer to have their child do school work at home, coding and robotics activities will be available.

  • Our cleaning will remain “on high alert” and children will be reminded often to wash hands. We have also incorporated a large water table into our activities in the art room. (yes, I add a little soap or a bath bomb)

Staying the Same!

  • The children will have the same types of activities and attention that they have always had at camp. They will do a skit, make costumes, do science experiments, artwork that relates to STEM, computer programming, and robotics.

What's New!

  • We have MICROPHONES now so you can actually HEAR your children.

  • We have a stage!

  • We have a subscription to Vimeo so that skits are loaded easier and a link is sent directly to you.

It has been a long few months for everyone and I look forward to seeing you all soon.

Best,

Kristin Schmalzbauer

Director
